Who doesn’t like caramel! I am a great lover of caramel and when it comes to salted caramel, I just go ‘uuuuummmmmm delicious!!’Salt in the caramel adds up to the flavour by making it more sweet and delicious. The jar filled with caramel sauce tempts me so much so that I just savour it with a spoonful.
The sweet, creamy yet salty caramel sauce can be relished in endless ways, like -
- Drizzling over ice-creams, Brownies & Pancakes
- Filling the donuts
- Pouring over cakes & Desserts
- Blending with Milkshakes
- Brewing your Coffee
The salted caramel sauce is very instant, simple and easy to go recipe.
Ingredients -
- 1 cup castor sugar or Regular Sugar
- 1/2 cup full fat cream
- 4 tbsp of butter
- 1 TSP of vanilla essence
- Pinch of salt (if butter is unsalted)
Instructions -
- Add sugar in a pan on a high flame. As soon the sugar starts
- caramelising get the flame to slow medium.
- Let the sugar caramelise and melt completely with no granules left.
- Get it to a flowing consistency and put off the flame. Do not overcaramelise.
- Now add cream and whisk it swiftly to prevent lumps.
- Put on the flame to medium and mix it well
- Add butter, vanilla essence and salt. Give it a good mix
- Get the pan off the stove and let it cool down until room
- temperature.
- Pour the cooled down sauce in a jar and you are ready to go!!
